Which Body Areas Can Be Waxed?
Whether you have previously been shaving or using hair removal cream at home and you want extra smooth skin, why not pop in for a wax?
We offer waxing for the face, lip & chin, arms, leg, bikini line, back and abdomen as well as more intimate areas. Please do not hesitate to discuss your requirements with one of our hair removal experts. Over time you should see that your hair grows back softer and finer however, unfortunately, the hair does grow back, sorry! We suggest that you allow at least 3-4 weeks in between.
Brazilian & Hollywood Waxing
There are different options to choose from when it comes to hair removal from your more intimate body areas.
The classic Bikini Wax removes hair from outside of where your underwear sits - also known as the bikini line. A Brazilian Wax removes most of your hair, leaving just a small strip of hair on view. The Hollywood Wax will leave you completely bare!
Help prevent ingrown hairs and achieve bump-free, silky smooth skin by exfoliating regularly, and apply plenty of moisturiser to the area you have had waxed to keep the area soft.
Waxing After Care Advice
It is important to follow the aftercare advice given to you by your hair removal expert at Avant Garde beauty salons. It is perfectly normal following a waxing treatment to look a bit like a plucked chicken! Don’t worry this will soon go away. Temporary soreness and redness are also common and disappear over the next 24 hours.
- Exfoliate 3 days after treatment to reduce ingrown hairs
- Do not have a hot shower/bath for 24 hours
- Do not sunbathe or use a sauna or solarium for 24 hours
- Do not apply body lotions, creams or perfumes to the waxed area for 24 hours
